Welcome to F.A.T. My name is Bob Goedetier and I love to hunt, I mean I LOVE TO HUNT! Let me introduce myself and tell you about F.A.T., best known as the Fowl Assault Team.

I was born and raised in southeast Michigan, a region of the country heavily populated with waterfowl on the famous Lake St. Clair. My father is the reason for my love of waterfowl hunting. He introduced me to the sport at the age of 10. As I’ve grown older, my waterfowl hunting addiction…perhaps like yours…has only gotten worse, or said another way, “Better”. Now, at the age of 32, waterfowl hunting has become an obsession taking me to different states and even different countries. However, I still call Lake Saint Clair home.

F.A.T. started as a fraternity with a core group of my hunting buddies. I put a big F.A.T. decal on the back of my trailer and distributed some smaller ones among the group. Within days, no matter where we were, people commented on the F.A.T. logo and shared their common interest and zeal for waterfowl hunting. Everybody that stopped to comment wanted to know where they could buy a decal or a shirt or something that would recognize their interest and support in the sport and F.A.T. Moreover, I took notice to the attention the logo was receiving from both hunters and non hunters alike, which was all positive.

So, here we are. F.A.T. has been born. I decided to make F.A.T. available to everyone in the hunting world to enjoy and promote the benefits of waterfowl hunting as I have. The term “benefits” is one way to describe all of the new guys and gals that I have met and friendships made over simply placing a F.A.T. logo on my trailer or wearing my F.A.T. hoodie around town. (I’m a policeman and my F.A.T. “uniform,” off duty, gets as much or more attention than my police uniform on duty, and that’s no kidding!) I can't tell you how many hours I have stood at gas stations and boat ramps just talking with other people that share my same passion. But without the F.A.T. logo, I probably would have never met these people because they had no idea what I was doing. They might have thought something else other than hunting with a huge trailer, a funny looking boat with a mud motor and a bunch of guys packed into a truck with face paint still on from a morning's assault.

F.A.T. is all about meeting new people, making new friendships and hunting till we drop. I hope to meet many others through this web site. F.A.T. sightings should become more frequent as we develop into a bigger fraternity. I welcome everyone to join the team and grow with us. In fact, share your hunting stories and pictures by clicking “Goose Me – Quack Me” on the main page. Please, no “fowl” language and do include pictures. We’ll post your story for everyone to see. Stop by the “store” as well and maybe you will find something you like. We will be adding to the merchandise product-line over time.

Happy hunting and remember, “If it Flies it Dies”!
